On April 6, 2026, significant changes occurred in fuel prices in Turkey. Due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and problems in the Strait of Hormuz, a rise in global oil prices is observed. This situation is reflected in gasoline, diesel, and LPG prices. The liter price of gasoline in Istanbul's European Side was updated to 62.60 TL, diesel to 77.47 TL, and LPG to 34.99 TL. Similar price increases were recorded in major cities like Ankara and İzmir. An increase of 7.65 TL for diesel and 2.29 TL for gasoline is expected. The previously implemented eşel mobil system has been brought up again to ensure that price increases do not directly affect consumers. These developments aim to reduce the impact of fluctuations in the fuel market on consumers.
