The Ministry of Trade evaluated the June results of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) Turkey Manufacturing Sector Export Climate Index.
In a written statement from the Ministry, it was noted that the index, which stood at 50.3 in May, rose to 50.4 in June, marking its second consecutive monthly increase. This data underscored that the strengthening trend in overall demand conditions in export markets has now reached 2.5 years.
The statement conveyed that while global demand conditions remained weak in June due to geopolitical uncertainties, the improvement in the export climate continued, albeit limited.
The statement shared that the Global Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) stood at 52.2 in June, and included the following remarks:
Thus, the index continued to remain above the 50 threshold for the last 11 months. Among the 33 national economies for which manufacturing PMI data was released, the index was above 50 in 27 of them in June. Economic activity in Spain increased at the fastest pace since the beginning of 2026. Non-oil activity in the United Arab Emirates continued to rise in June. Production recorded increases in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Lebanon. The growth recorded in Czechia and Kazakhstan was among the positive developments of the month.
The Export Climate Index indicates improving demand conditions in export markets with values above 50.
