Hamas says consultations continue with mediators for Gaza ceasefire
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said consultations with Egypt, Qatar and Turkiye are ongoing on approaches to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement, and that a delegation will visit Cairo within a few days to respond to new proposals.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said on Friday that consultations with mediators on approaches to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza are continuing.
In a statement to Anadolu Agency, Qassem said, "Contacts and dialogue continue between Palestinian groups, Hamas and the mediators (Egypt, Qatar and Turkiye) to reach comprehensive approaches on the full implementation of the ceasefire."
The spokesman indicated that these approaches cover the remaining part of the first phase and the establishment of mechanisms for the implementation of the second phase.
Qassem also said that a delegation from Hamas and other groups will visit Cairo in the coming few days to respond to the newly presented approaches.
