Holiday preparations and vacation plans in Turkey created significant activity in the e-commerce sector. In May, an e-commerce volume of approximately 400 billion lira is expected nationwide. The average basket size during the holiday period is projected to range between 3,000 and 5,000 lira. Deep freezers, meat grinders, kitchen equipment, gift products, and holiday shopping are among the products in high demand. Additionally, digital services such as plane tickets, hotel reservations, and car rentals also contribute to the e-commerce volume. ETİD President Hakan Çevikoğlu stated that the combination of holiday shopping, vacation planning, gift-giving, and campaign periods occurring simultaneously is among the main reasons for this growth.
