Household and real-sector inflation expectations fell in October
According to Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye data, 12-month-ahead annual inflation expectations fell to 43.75% among households and 31.80% in the real sector. Expectations among market participants rose to 23.89%.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) published its Sectoral Inflation Expectations data for October. Accordingly, households’ 12-month-ahead annual inflation expectations fell by 1.85 percentage points from the previous month to 43.75%.
The real sector’s annual inflation expectations fell by 0.70 percentage points to 31.80%. Expectations among market participants rose by 0.19 percentage points to 23.89%.
The share of households expecting inflation to decline over the next 12 months also rose by 0.31 percentage points to 16.56%.
