Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref met with Malaysia's Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, who was in Tehran for the farewell ceremony of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Aref said, "The new climate in Iran and the region has paved the way for removing obstacles to relations among Muslim nations." He stressed that regional countries must cooperate with Islamic countries for their own interests and development.

The Iranian Vice President stated, "Our struggle against the US and the Zionist entity is on behalf of the Palestinian people; we stand against American hegemony and injustice in the region." Aref also said that regional countries that relied on the US for security now understand that they should no longer fall into Washington's lap.
