Kasımpaşa faced English Championship club Hull City at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium as part of their pre-season preparations. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The home side started quickly but struggled to gain the upper hand in the first half. In the 41st minute, Benedyczak found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper after a through ball from Hajradinovic, but Butland denied him. The first 45 minutes ended goalless.
Kasımpaşa took the lead just after the start of the second half. In the 47th minute, following an attack down the left, Güven Yalçın crossed and Ben Ouanes finished neatly to make it 1-0.
Hull City's response was swift. In the 51st minute, former Trabzonspor player Abdülkadir Ömür crossed from the right and McBurnie volleyed home to level the score at 1-1. Both teams created chances in the remaining minutes but neither could find the net again.
Among the special guests were Kasımpaşa chairman Davut Dişli, Hull City owner Acun Ilıcalı, and Romania national team head coach Gheorghe Hagi. Ilıcalı, at the fervent request of the navy-blue and white fans, turned to the stands and made a three-fingered salute.
