Baykar announced that the Kızılelma unmanned combat aircraft successfully completed a supersonic air-to-ground missile firing test. According to the statement made on Monday, Kızılelma fired the İT-230 missile, developed by Roketsan, for the first time and hit the target with pinpoint accuracy.

As part of the test, Kızılelma took off with two İT-230 missiles under its wings. The unmanned combat aircraft headed toward a target over the sea and fired from a distance of more than 120 kilometers.

Baykar stated that with this success, Türkiye's first unmanned combat aircraft has proven it can carry out critical missions using supersonic air-to-ground munitions, and that the development program has reached a new milestone.
Kızılelma had previously successfully passed firing tests with the indigenous air-to-air missile Gökdoğan and munitions such as TOLUN, Teber-82, KGK, and LGK-82. Following the İT-230 test, the indigenous munitions integration process will accelerate, increasing the aircraft's effectiveness against different target types.
Notable for its ability to take off and land from short-runway vessels, Kızılelma will be deployable on platforms like TCG Anadolu. The project was launched in 2021, the first aircraft rolled off the production line on November 14, 2022, and made its first successful flight on December 14, 2022.
