National athlete Görkem Gedik becomes Turkish champion in freediving
National athlete Görkem Gedik, who dove to a depth of 81 meters on a single breath in 2 minutes 45 seconds, became the Turkish champion in the freediving category. After the championship, Gedik said his goal is the World Championship.
National athlete Görkem Gedik dove to a depth of 81 meters on a single breath at the Turkish Freediving Championship, finishing first in his category.
Gedik's successful dive, which lasted 2 minutes 45 seconds, earned him the championship. Speaking after the championship, Gedik said he had been preparing for this event for a long time and was overjoyed with his achievement.
Gedik said, "I am very happy to be the Turkish champion. During my 2-minute-45-second dive to 81 meters, I felt the positive energy and support messages sent to me. I sincerely thank everyone who stood by me in this success."
Adding that his goal is the World Championship, the national athlete stated that he will continue his preparations accordingly and wants to represent Turkey in the best possible way.
