Ahmet Mithat Ertuğ's legacy in the industry
Engineer and businessman Ahmet Mithat Ertuğ, together with his brother Hüseyin Münip Ertuğ, transformed the production he started in a small workshop in 1975 into EMGE, one of the first companies in OSTİM. Operating with the goal of producing domestic and national products and finding solutions to embargoes, the company over time became a strategic partner of ASELSAN and TAI, and also produced parts for international companies such as Airbus, Boeing, and Sikorsky.
Contributing to many original projects, EMGE also played a role in the nationalization of critical products in the defense and aviation fields. OSSA, whose founding chairmanship Ertuğ undertook in 2008, spread the clustering culture and ensured that OSTİM became one of the region's most important defense and aviation bases.
Ahmet Mithat Ertuğ also served as a member of the Ankara Chamber of Industry Assembly and as Vice President of the Defense and Aviation Industry Manufacturers Association (SASAD).
