Other league champions
Eczacıbaşı, which closed its basketball department years ago, won eight league championships. İTÜ won five, Ülkerspor four, Pınar Karşıyaka and TOFAŞ two each, while Muhafızgücü won once.
The competition began in the 1966-1967 season as the National Men's Basketball First Division, with Altınordu becoming its first champion. The league adopted a playoff system in the 1983-1984 season, and from that point onward the champion was determined after the playoff games.
The 2019-2020 season was not completed
The 2019-2020 Basketball Super League season could not be completed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The league was suspended on March 19, 2020, after the 23rd week of games, and the Turkish Basketball Federation ended the season on May 11 without declaring a champion or relegating any team.
