Trump greatly pleased with Turkey visit, Leavitt says
White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt announced that U.S. President Donald Trump was greatly pleased with his visit to Turkey and his meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Leavitt also stated that Trump's encouragement of NATO allies to increase defense spending received a positive response.
White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, during the daily press briefing, evaluated U.S. President Donald Trump's contacts in Turkey in response to a question from an AA correspondent.
Leavitt said, "I know that the President was greatly pleased with the Turkey visit," adding that Trump's encouragement of NATO allies to increase defense spending also received a positive response.
Leavitt also stated that Trump was greatly pleased with his meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and that he values the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
