Former US President Donald Trump stated that Iran must accept that it will never have nuclear weapons or bombs. Trump said the Strait of Hormuz must be immediately opened to unrestricted ship traffic in both directions and that any naval mines would be destroyed. Trump noted that US underwater mine-sweeping ships have removed many mines and said Iran must remove or detonate the remaining mines. He also stated that ships trapped in the strait due to the naval blockade can now move. Trump mentioned that enriched material buried deep underground from a B2 bomber attack 11 months ago will be extracted and destroyed in cooperation with the US and the International Atomic Energy Agency. Finally, he announced that no money transactions will be made until a second announcement and that agreements have been reached on other matters.
