The Egyptian Armed Forces announced the successful completion of the 'Golden Eagle' joint exercise, which involved Turkish and Egyptian airborne and special forces units.
In the final phase, a helicopter-backed urban operation scenario was staged. Soldiers cleared a terrorist hideout, rescued hostages, and neutralized and detained simulated terrorists.
The training program included standard and non-standard shooting drills, close-quarters movement techniques, vertical landing using an aviation simulator, disposal of improvised explosive devices, first aid and rescue operations, the use of and countermeasures against unmanned aerial vehicles, free-fall simulator training, and operational parachute jumps.

Additionally, a 'friendship jump' was performed during the exercise with Turkish and Egyptian flags.
The final part of the maneuvers was observed on site by senior commanders of the Egyptian and Turkish Armed Forces, as well as the military attaché of the Turkish Embassy in Cairo.
