Turkish commandos and Somali soldiers conduct tactical movement to Mount Erciyes
The Ministry of National Defense announced that a tactical movement was carried out on Wednesday from the Zengidere area of Kayseri to Mount Erciyes, accompanied by Somali guest soldiers. The commandos set up camp on the Tekir Plateau and conducted ambush and counter-ambush, cave and shelter search, and aerial observation exercises.
The Ministry of National Defense announced that commandos from the 1st Airborne Commando Brigade carried out a tactical movement from the Zengidere area of Kayseri to Mount Erciyes together with Somali guest soldiers.
In a post on Wednesday, the ministry said the units had set up camp on the Tekir Plateau and conducted ambush and counter-ambush, cave and shelter search, and aerial observation training.
At the same time, a commando group climbed to the summit of Mount Erciyes to reconnoiter the routes.
The post also included footage of the movement, as well as moments when personnel from the 1st Airborne Commando Brigade took the commando oath.
