Member companies of the Housing Developers and Investors Association (KONUTDER) met in Istanbul with a large delegation from Oman that included public and private sector representatives. The meeting addressed opportunities for real estate development, urban planning, investment, and joint project development between Turkey and Oman.
Cooperation message from Minister Shueili
In his speech, Oman's Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Shueili stated that Turkey is a trusted and highly respected country for the Omani people. Noting that they closely follow Turkey's experience in urban planning and real estate development, Shueili said they have been in contact with many Turkish companies and public institutions over the past week.
Shueili said, "In line with Oman's Vision 2040 goals, we see urban planning, tourism, and the real estate sector as one of the key elements of economic diversification. We believe that partnerships to be established between Turkish developers and Omani investors will offer significant opportunities for both countries."

Minister Shueili invited KONUTDER members to the Urban October-Urban, Home&Build Expo to be held in Oman on October 5-8, stating that the fair could be an important platform for developing cooperation between the real estate sectors of the two countries.
Full support from KONUTDER
KONUTDER Chairman Ziya Yılmaz emphasized that Turkey and Oman have strong relations developing on the basis of friendship and mutual trust. He said, "Our meeting is being held not only to evaluate current investment opportunities, but also to create a shared vision for the future and to lay the foundation for long-term cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries."

Yılmaz stated that KONUTDER represents Turkey's leading housing developers, and said that the Turkish real estate sector is ready to share its knowledge in urban planning, sustainability, quality living spaces, and international investment with Oman.

Expressing that they believe there is a strong synergy between Turkey and Oman in the field of real estate development, Yılmaz continued: "We believe that joint projects that will bring together the experience of Turkish housing developers and Oman's visionary urban planning approach will add significant value to both countries. We see this meeting as the beginning of long-term collaborations and concrete investments between our members and Omani investors."
Presentations and exchange of views
In the presentations that followed the speeches, Oman's investment vision, new city projects, sustainable urbanization approach, and investment opportunities were evaluated. KONUTDER, for its part, provided information on the size of the Turkish housing sector, its production capacity, and areas of cooperation that could be developed between the two countries.
Participants exchanged views on mutual investment opportunities, joint real estate development projects, knowledge and experience sharing, and cooperation models that Turkish developers could implement in Oman and Omani investors in Turkey.
