Turkish National Men's Basketball Team's World Cup Qualifiers Schedule Announced
The Turkish National Men's Basketball Team will face Italy, Lithuania, and Iceland in the second round of the 2027 World Cup Qualifiers.
The Turkish National Men's Basketball Team's match schedule for the second round of the 2027 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers has been announced. The crescent-star team, which topped Group C with a perfect 6-0 record in the first round, will compete against Italy, Lithuania, and Iceland, who finished in the top three of Group D.
Together with Turkey, Iceland, Serbia, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Italy make up the group; the top three teams at the end of this round will qualify for the World Cup.
The match schedule announced by FIBA is as follows:
- August 28, Friday: Turkey vs Lithuania
- August 31, Monday: Iceland vs Turkey
- November 26, Thursday: Italy vs Turkey
- November 29, Sunday: Turkey vs Iceland
- February 26, 2027, Friday: Lithuania vs Turkey
- March 1, 2027, Monday: Turkey vs Italy
