Türkiye is launching a new structure to use and further develop its engineering capacity in aviation engines more effectively and accelerate development processes. Engine development activities conducted under TAI, which is affiliated with the Presidency of Defense Industries, and TREMOTOR programs will be managed through a single structure under the name TAI Technology.
The new structure will take over the TF35000 and TS3000 engine projects, as well as development activities carried out under TAI. TREMOTOR’s engine programs and auxiliary power units will also be incorporated into the structure.
Engineers and technical staff are planned to move to TAI Technology to ensure that the projects continue without interruption. The arrangement aims to preserve institutional knowledge and technical continuity across the projects.
Development and production responsibilities to be separated
TAI Technology will focus on developing domestic aircraft engines and auxiliary power units. The new structure will also conduct materials development and advanced research and development activities.
TAI will be responsible for production, delivery, product support, engine programs and international cooperation. The TS1400 and PD170 engine programs will continue under TAI to ensure the uninterrupted implementation, production, delivery and integration of the engines.
The restructuring will not change TAI’s core activities in parts and unit production or after-sales services. The company’s strategic partnership with General Electric Aerospace, which has continued for 41 years, and its responsibilities in the global supply chain will also continue.

TAI and TREMOTOR’s current positions
Established in 1985 through a partnership between TUSAŞ, General Electric Aerospace and the Turkish Aeronautical Association, TAI is among the engineering and manufacturing organizations supplying parts to more than 50 global programs.
Established in 2017, TREMOTOR is one of the prominent organizations operating in the field of gas turbine engines and auxiliary power units.
