Türkiye ranked eighth among the world’s arms exporters in 2025 with $4.23 billion in exports, according to data from the Russia-based Center for Analysis of World Arms Trade (TsAMTO).
The United States topped the list with $44.6 billion, accounting for 37.3% of global arms exports on its own. It was followed by Russia with $15 billion, Germany with $8.9 billion, South Korea with $8.8 billion and France with $8.6 billion.
Rounding out the top 10 were Israel ($5.995 billion) in sixth, Italy ($5.225 billion) in seventh, Spain ($3.476 billion) in ninth and China ($2.970 billion) in tenth. According to the center, global arms exports totaled around $120 billion in 2025.
Turkish Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır said in New York on September 23 that Türkiye is the world’s 11th-largest defense exporter. “God willing, we are almost there. Next year, we will be among the top 10 defense exporting countries,” he said, without specifying which ranking he was referring to.
