In the Colombian capital Bogotá, the removal of about 30 items related to political history, the peace process and the LGBTQ+ movement from the National Museum on the orders of President Abelardo de la Espriella sparked protests over the weekend. On Saturday, about 500 people gathered outside the museum and were dispersed with water cannons in the evening. On Sunday, riot police used armored vehicles, water cannons and stun grenades against at least 300 people staging a sit-in, while some protesters threw stones. The gallery features footage from outside the museum and the streets of Bogotá.
