33 Cats Found Dead in İzmir Buca, Veterinarian Detained Again

In the Buca district of İzmir, 33 dead cats were found in front of a garbage container on Adnan Kahveci Street. Following the incident, the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Environmental, Zoning, Forestry and Crimes Against Animals Investigation Bureau launched an investigation under Law No. 5199 on the Protection of Animals. The veterinarian detained during the investigation was released but was detained again after the prosecutor objected to the decision. The cause of the cats' deaths has not yet been determined, and forensic and veterinary reports are awaited. The local community demands clarification of the incident and punishment of those responsible.
