The Iran National Football Team moved its camp base from the USA to Mexico as part of preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. After the USA did not accept the camp request, the Iran Football Federation decided to continue camp activities in the border city of Tijuana. This change was approved following discussions between Iran Football Federation officials and FIFA. Instead of the previously planned camp center in Arizona, Tijuana was chosen. Thus, the Iran team will stay in Mexico throughout the tournament to continue their preparations.
