In AKP backstage, new scenarios are being discussed against the vote erosion caused by rising cost of living and income loss of retirees within the ruling base. Party sources state that a comprehensive income adjustment is being worked on, which includes raising the lowest retirement pension to 36 thousand TL in October. It is stated that after this adjustment, the early election option may come up again in November. The election schedule is being evaluated together with social support packages to be prepared by the economic administration. It is noted that dissatisfaction among retirees, minimum wage earners, and low-income groups is also reflected in recent public opinion polls. While there is no consensus within the party on early elections, some officials argue that going to elections without significant improvement in economic indicators is risky. On the other hand, it is thought that possible salary increases and support packages may quickly reflect at the ballot box. If a recovery in favor of the ruling party is seen in public opinion polls after the announcement of economic packages, the early election option will be considered more strongly. It is stated that the final decision will be shaped according to the survey results and that autumn will be politically active.
