ASKON Antalya Branch President Onur Kaçar recalled in a written statement that the 2025 Elective Ordinary General Assembly of DEİK Business Councils was completed with intense participation from the Turkish business world. Stating that 151 Business Council Presidents were determined as a result of the elections, Kaçar said, “The new period structure that will shape Turkey’s foreign trade vision was also formed with the DEİK elections. In this important process, we take pride in representing the Antalya business world most strongly in the field of international commercial diplomacy.”
Kaçar, who stated that as the ASKON Antalya branch, they achieved a notable representation in the field of international commercial diplomacy at the DEİK general assembly, where collaborations and strategic openings that will advance Turkey’s position in global trade were discussed, noted the following:
“As ASKON Antalya, the role we have undertaken under the DEİK umbrella is not just a representation but also a strategic responsibility. Our aim is to make our Antalya-based companies an active part of global trade networks. By taking part in international business councils, we aim to facilitate our members’ access to new markets and strengthen investment and trade opportunities through direct on-the-ground contacts.”
Kaçar also touched upon the new period work to be carried out under the DEİK umbrella, stating that private sector diplomacy plays a critical role in Turkey’s foreign trade goals. Kaçar concluded his words as follows:
“For Turkey to reach a stronger position in global trade, the business world needs to be more visible and effective internationally. As ASKON Antalya, we will continue to be one of the pioneers of this process. I believe these roles will make significant contributions both to our country’s foreign trade volume and to the global integration of the Antalya business world. These efforts are expected to particularly strengthen the access of Antalya-based companies to global markets. The new period activities to be carried out under the DEİK umbrella are anticipated to make significant contributions to increasing Turkey’s foreign trade volume, strengthening private sector diplomacy, and establishing sustainable international economic collaborations. We wish the new period to be auspicious for our country, our business world, and all stakeholders.”
Alongside ASKON Antalya Branch President Onur Kaçar, ASKON members Öner Uygun, Enver Çitak, Veli Durur, Olga Eser, and Sara Azimpour took on roles as members in the Executive Boards of the China, Lebanon, Mali, Kyrgyzstan, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Guinea, and Romania Business Councils.
