In the first three months of 2025, real estate sales across Turkey decreased by 9.5% compared to the same period last year, totaling 628,255 units. According to data from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (TKGM), 204,884 sales were made in January, 222,842 in February, and 200,529 in March. February was the month with the highest number of sales. This figure represents the lowest quarterly sales volume in the last five years.
During the same period, a total of 4,812,931 transactions were carried out at land registry offices. In addition to sales transactions, mortgage, inheritance transfer, correction, and other land registry transactions were also conducted intensively. Fee revenues from land registry transactions rose by 73.6% to 51.8 billion lira. Approximately 49 billion lira of this revenue was generated solely from sales transactions.
This decline in the real estate market can be associated with economic conditions and market dynamics. However, detailed analyses and expert opinions will provide clearer information about the future of the market.
