Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli assessed the political agenda at his party's parliamentary group meeting in Türkiye's Grand National Assembly. "The Turks' universal cause is the cause of order against chaos, justice against oppression and unity against division," Bahçeli said.
Call on youth not to be provoked
Referring to the wave of protests in Europe, Bahçeli said: "Our youth should neither be tempted by actions aimed at producing chaos and turmoil that began in France and spread to almost all of Europe, nor by dark scenarios that seek to alienate them from their own identity. They should not fall for provocations."
Message to Iran on PJAK
"With the fulfillment of the Iranian interior minister's statement during his visit to Ankara in September that 'PJAK and all its branches must end their existence and lay down their arms,' another step will have been taken toward regional peace," Bahçeli said.
Bahçeli also addressed Cyprus, the investment fund investigation and the terror-free Türkiye process. "Cyprus is Turkish and will remain Turkish," he said, calling a united Cyprus federation a complete fantasy. He said the fund investigation should be seen as an opportunity for cleansing and vindication, and stressed that the goal of a terror-free Türkiye cannot be separated from the vision of a terror-free region.
