Bond yields and oil prices in focus in global markets
In global markets, the rise in bond yields became more pronounced again despite the U.S. Treasury increasing its purchases of long-term bonds. The minutes of the U.S. Federal Reserve's meeting, which kept the possibility of an interest rate hike on the agenda, also contributed to the negative trend in the markets.
The ongoing tensions in the Middle East pushed oil prices to their highest level in approximately four weeks, adding to pressure on prices.
Confidence and capacity data to be monitored domestically
Domestic markets will monitor the consumer confidence index, real sector confidence index and capacity utilization rate. Abroad, purchasing managers' index data from around the world will be followed.
Technically, 14,300 and 14,200 points stand out as support levels for the BIST 100 index, while 14,500 and 14,600 points are seen as resistance levels.
