Mehmet Emin Evşin, who runs a carpet cleaning facility in the Akkapı neighborhood of Seyhan district, received two quilts and two blankets from a customer for washing. Evşin left the area to avoid blocking vehicle traffic on the street. When he arrived at the next customer's house and opened one of the blankets to attach a label, he noticed three wallets fall out. Inside, he found 20,000 lira, 50 euros, and credit cards.
Evşin returned to his customer's house after speaking with her on the phone and delivered the money and credit cards. The female customer then asked where the bag she had put the wallets in was. Evşin recorded the moment with his mobile phone camera.
Describing the incident, Mehmet Emin Evşin said, "On Saturday morning, we took two quilts and two blankets from our customer. Normally, we write the customer's name and stick it on the items right in front of the door. At that time, because there was traffic on the street, we went to the next customer's address. When I opened the blanket, three wallets came out.
When I checked the wallets, I found 20,000 lira, 50 euros, and credit cards. I called the customer and informed her of the situation. I went and delivered them." 'WE DON'T EAT WHAT IS FORBIDDEN' Stating that he would do the same if something like this happened to him, Evşin said, "If I had bad intentions, I wouldn't have told the customer at all. We delivered the money and cards that came out. We learned this from our elders; we don't eat what is forbidden. I also shared the video I shot on social media.
The customer asking 'Where is my bag' became a topic. When I put the wallet on the ground, the bag was flying because it was windy. Without saying thank you, she asked about the bag."
