The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) has launched a new digital service as part of its regulatory and supervisory activities in the payments sector. The bank has made the "Payment and Electronic Money Institution Account Ownership Inquiry" service available through the e-Government Gateway.
The CBRT said work was continuing to ensure that the payments sector operates securely, continuously and effectively within the framework of Law No. 6493. Developed through work carried out with relevant stakeholders, the service aims to give citizens access to their account information at financial institutions from a single point.
Through this service, which is available on the e-Government Gateway platform, individuals can access information about the payment and electronic money institutions where they hold accounts and can also use the service on behalf of people whose heirs they are. Information on authorized payment and electronic money institutions is updated regularly in the "Payment Services" section of the CBRT website.
The new service also allows users to inquire about accounts registered in their own names as well as those belonging to people whose heirs they are. The current list of authorized institutions is available in the "Payment Services" section of the CBRT's official website.
