The Turkish Diyanet Foundation inaugurated 23 water wells and fountains in various regions of Afghanistan.
The foundation stated that efforts to open water wells and build foundation fountains continue across the country. The inauguration dates of the projects were not disclosed.
Turkey's Ambassador to Kabul, Sadin Ay Yıldız, emphasized that relations between the two countries must be maintained and developed in all areas.
These projects are a trust from the Turkish people to their brotherly and friendly Afghan people.
The Embassy's Religious Services Counselor, Emrah Kandemir, pointed out that meeting people's water needs is a form of charity.
Water is the most basic and vital need; it is indispensable for the healthy continuation of human life.
Kandemir stated that the water well and fountain construction projects continue in different parts of Afghanistan in cooperation with the Turkish Diyanet Foundation and the Kabul Religious Services Consultancy. He expressed his belief that these projects will continue and expand thanks to the contributions of the Turkish people.
Meanwhile, the foundation distributed school bags to 5,000 orphan students in Afghanistan on the same day. This aid was carried out as part of educational support programs covering 5,000 students.
Kandemir stated that the project is an indication of the foundation's emphasis on the education sector in the country.
