Eiffel Tower to close early due to extreme heat
The Eiffel Tower in Paris, the capital of France, will be closed to visitors from 4 p.m. local time today and tomorrow due to expected high temperatures.
The Eiffel Tower, the iconic landmark of Paris, the capital of France, has adjusted its visiting hours due to the extreme heat wave.
The tower will be closed to visitors from 4 p.m. local time today and tomorrow. Normally open until nearly midnight, 12:45 a.m., the Eiffel Tower will admit its last visitors at 12:15 p.m. on the weekend.
Due to the heat wave affecting France, a 'red alert' has been declared in 24 departments and an 'orange alert' in 59 departments. Temperatures are expected to reach 39 degrees Celsius during the day.
