Erdoğan expressed hope that the intensive diplomatic efforts would contribute to the consensus and peace the world needs.
The General Assembly's agenda
The high-level general debate of the United Nations General Assembly began Tuesday in New York under the theme "Rebuilding trust and reigniting global ambition: Delivering for people everywhere."
Heads of state and government are assessing key issues related to international security, geopolitical developments and the economy during the meetings.
The 81st General Assembly session officially began on September 8. The high-level general debate is scheduled to conclude on September 28.
