Erdoğan gifts NATO leaders special book: 'The Politics of Courage'
At the NATO Summit, Erdoğan presented leaders with the biographical work 'The Politics of Courage,' prepared by the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Foundation, along with a signed letter.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan hosted a dinner yesterday evening at the Presidential Complex in honor of the leaders and their spouses attending the 36th NATO Summit.
After the dinner, Erdoğan presented the leaders with a personal gift: the biographical work "The Politics of Courage: Erdoğan and the Rise of Türkiye," prepared by the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Foundation, accompanied by a signed personal letter.
Prepared in English for an international audience, the book examines President Erdoğan's political career to trace Türkiye's recent political history, critical decision points, challenges, reforms implemented, and long-term objectives.
The book explores President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's leadership journey and the political, social, and institutional transformation Türkiye has undergone in the last quarter century through the lens of "the politics of courage."
In the accompanying letter, President Erdoğan wrote: "The work is an expression of the legacy we leave for tomorrow. History is not merely the sum of lived moments but the collective accumulation of decisions that shaped those moments, of dedicated efforts and the vision that was built. This work transcends a personal journey; it is an expression of the dreams we built together with our nation, the projects we brought to life, and the legacy we leave for the future."
This evaluation in the letter also reveals the book's core approach. The work goes beyond the bounds of an individual political biography, seeking to view Türkiye's recent history from the perspective of nation, leadership, and a shared future. In this respect, the study serves as a comprehensive resource that explains to the international community the transformation Türkiye has undergone in recent years within its own historical and social context.
Institutional Contribution to Türkiye's Memory
The Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Foundation continues its work to contribute to Türkiye's recent political, social, and institutional memory, to pass this accumulated knowledge on to future generations, and to share it with the international community. In this framework, the Foundation carries out publishing, research, archiving, memory center, library, and museum activities.
