Greenland Prime Minister Claims Trump Gave Up Annexation
Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen claimed that US President Donald Trump has given up the idea of annexing his country. Nielsen said that the US Special Representative for Greenland conveyed this information to them.
Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen claimed that US President Donald Trump has given up the idea of annexing his country.
Speaking at the Aix-en-Provence Economic Forum in France, Nielsen said that the US Special Representative for Greenland had informed them three days ago that Trump had abandoned the idea of annexing Greenland.
"Three days ago, the US Special Representative for Greenland told us that Donald Trump had given up the idea of annexing Greenland. But the pressure is still here," Nielsen said.
No official confirmation has yet been made by the US administration on the matter.
