Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Baghai reacted to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte's remarks regarding Europe's involvement in the US-Israeli operation. Baghai stated that Rutte's repeated confessions prove that Europeans are not neutral in this conflict.
On Wednesday, Rutte openly supported the new US attacks on Iran, describing them as 'absolutely necessary' and accusing Tehran of violating the ceasefire.
In a post on the social media platform X, Baghai said, 'Mark Rutte's repeated confessions about Europe's voluntary complicity in the US-Israeli aggressive war against Iran once again confirm that they (Europeans) are not neutral in this brutal and illegal attack.'
On Wednesday night, the US military launched a series of intense attacks against Iran. The Iranian army announced that it retaliated against US bases in Bahrain and Kuwait. Iranian officials accused Washington of violating the memorandum to halt military operations.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces struck approximately 90 targets in Iran. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that in response to the US attack, it attacked two US bases in Kuwait and two in Bahrain.
