Israeli forces conducted extensive raids across various parts of the West Bank throughout the night and into Wednesday morning. The operations spread across many cities, towns, and refugee camps from Ramallah to Jenin, and from Nablus to Tulkarem.
During a raid on the Jalazun Refugee Camp north of Ramallah, clashes broke out. Israeli forces opened fire there, while in the village of Deir Jarir, homes were entered and Mohammed Ismail Abu Mahu was detained.
Forces entering the town of Sebastia northwest of Nablus raided a house. Subsequently, search operations were also conducted in the town of Qusin, with intensive sweeps carried out in the area.
Raids continued along the Jenin line. Israeli forces entering the town of Arraba carried out arrests and house searches in the area. Military activity also reached the village of Bayt al-Basha and the western village of Anin.
It was reported that many people were detained in Arraba, and one house was turned into a military post where interrogations took place. The high number of detainees in the same area highlighted the increasing intensity of the raids.
A raid was also conducted in the northern West Bank city of Tubas. At the same time, units entered the town of Azzun east of Qalqilya and deployed in neighborhoods and streets.
In Tulkarem, numerous houses were searched during a raid on the village of Kafr Jammal. In the southern city of Dura near Hebron, some vehicles were seized.
The entrance to the village of al-Munshiya south of Bethlehem was reportedly closed for the third consecutive day. The continuation of raids and searches at various points in the area further escalated tensions in the West Bank.
Hamas Issues Call Regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque
On the same day, Hamas warned against Israeli attempts to remove certain elements of Al-Aqsa Mosque under security pretexts. The movement described these steps as a serious violation and called for widespread solidarity and vigil.
Hamas claimed that the four main structures within Al-Aqsa were targeted, with the Dome of Moses on the southwest side of the courtyard recently coming into focus. The statement emphasized that these actions would provoke strong reactions and that the occupation authorities’ plans must be thwarted.
The movement also called on the Arab and Islamic world to take responsibility for protecting Al-Aqsa. Religious leaders, political movements, and free peoples were invited to support the defense of the holy site.
