Italy's Ministry of Interior has imposed a travel ban on Torino and Juventus fans for 10 away matches during the upcoming league season. The ban will last until November 3.
The decision was made following the ultras violence that occurred after the Torino derby ended 2-2 on May 24. The ministry's regulation also includes closing the away sections for matches played by the granata and bianconeri teams.
Under the ban, ticket sales will be stopped for fans living in designated areas for the relevant matches. For Torino fans, the restriction applies to those residing in Piemonte, while for Juventus matches, the same rule applies to residents of Piemonte and Lombardia.
Torino stands faced similar sanctions last season as well. Following incidents during the Torino-Verona match on April 11, travel to away games in Cremona and Udine was also banned.
The implementation of the new decision will be carried out individually by the governorates of the provinces where the matches will be held. It is not yet clear whether the same ban will apply to summer friendly matches.
