Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković in Ankara. Delegations from both countries also attended the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As part of his engagements in Ankara, Jandroković also met with Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş and held a joint press conference. Kurtulmuş said the meeting covered bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues in detail.

Kurtulmuş said Türkiye and Croatia share common positions on many issues in the Balkans and southeastern Europe, stressing that the two countries have significant opportunities for cooperation in numerous areas, particularly the defense industry. He also thanked the Croatian people for building schools in Adıyaman, Hatay and Kahramanmaraş following the February 6, 2023 earthquakes.
Kurtulmuş recalled that Jandroković was the first parliament speaker to visit the Islamic Center of Croatia and expressed his gratitude for the opportunities provided to the Muslim community in the country. “The presence of the Muslim community also serves as a major bridge between you and us,” Kurtulmuş said.
