Early in the morning, a mosque in the village of Cilcilya near Ramallah in the West Bank was set on fire. The attack burned the women's section of the mosque and caused damage primarily to the building's exterior facade.
It was reported that the attackers wrote some Hebrew phrases on the mosque walls before leaving the scene. Attacks in Cilcilya have significantly increased recently, and last month, during an assault on the village, a flock of sheep belonging to Palestinians was stolen.
Homes, vehicles, and windows targeted in Beyta
In the town of Beyta south of Nablus, Palestinians were also targeted in an attack. Israelis attacked homes in the Bi’r Kuza and El-Harik areas, damaged numerous vehicles, and broke the windows of a house.
After intervention by local residents, the attackers left the town. Subsequently, Israeli soldiers who arrived in the area reportedly beat Palestinians and injured four people.
Neighborhoods sealed off and raids conducted in Qalqilya
The Israeli army also conducted raids in the northern West Bank city of Qalqilya. Entry and exit points to some neighborhoods were closed, and the entrances to the Nezzal neighborhood were controlled.
According to local sources, a large number of soldiers entered the city with the support of about 16 military vehicles. Reinforcements were dispatched from northern and southern checkpoints, and infantry units were deployed to various neighborhoods.
The forces raided many homes and subjected Palestinians to field interrogations. At least five Palestinians were reported detained during the raids.
Residents said Israeli soldiers stated the raids were conducted "to search for weapons." Israeli forces also reportedly raided the Fawwar Refugee Camp in the south of the West Bank and the Askar Refugee Camp in the north.
Water-carrying vehicles seized in Tubas
Among the vehicles seized in Tubas were a tractor and a water tanker belonging to Palestinians. Mutaz Bisharat, the Settlement Activities File Officer of the Tubas Governorate, stated that water-carrying vehicles serving a Palestinian family in the south were confiscated.
Bisharat also said that a day earlier, water lines used by the family for water supply were damaged by construction machinery. This indicates that pressure on water infrastructure in the same area continues.
Raids frequently conducted in various parts of the West Bank often result in deaths, injuries, arrests, property damage, and harm to crops and animals. The recent attacks have once again highlighted this pattern.
