Motorcycle and Car Collide in Artvin Murgul, Rider Dies
A collision between a motorcycle and a car occurred in Artvin's Murgul district. The motorcycle rider Asım Özdemir lost his life, while two people in the car were injured.
A motorcycle and a car collided inside the Murgul Tunnel on the Borçka-Murgul highway in Artvin's Murgul district. The motorcycle rider Asım Özdemir died in the accident, and two people in the car were injured.
According to initial findings, the car driven by 73-year-old R. K. and the motorcycle ridden by 26-year-old Asım Özdemir collided inside the tunnel. After the collision, bystanders reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Health and police teams.
Medical teams arriving at the scene confirmed that the motorcycle rider Asım Özdemir had died. The injured car driver and a 71-year-old passenger named E. K. were also treated.
The injured were then taken to the District State Hospital. An investigation into the accident has been launched.
