Before the French Cup final, a planned fight occurred between PSG and Nice fans in the 10th district of Paris. Fans met around Canal Saint-Martin and engaged in a brief clash. Initially, 150 Nice fans were spending time peacefully in an Irish bar, but later encountered independent groups from Paris. The clash continued with the Parisian fans retreating due to being outnumbered, and some took refuge in a nearby restaurant. However, Nice fans also attacked this place; customers and staff hid under tables for protection. Windows were broken, and furniture was damaged in the incident. Police intervention led to 65 arrests, 6 injuries, one of which is serious. Among those arrested were found gloves resistant to blows, masks, and cutting tools. The Paris prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the incident. The next day, 6 more people were arrested at Lyon station on charges of gathering with intent to commit violence and damage. Police continue their controls at fan transit points. Such clashes have occurred before at French Cup finals.
