Police Officer Tayfun Baş Martyred in Armed Attack in Muğla
Police officer Tayfun Baş was wounded when a police team responding to a call in Muğla was fired upon. Despite being taken to the hospital and all medical efforts, Baş could not be saved and was martyred.
In a statement on social media, Muğla Governor Dr. İdris Akbıyık reported that police officer Tayfun Baş, serving in the Muğla Public Security Branch Directorate, was wounded when a suspect opened fire on the team responding to a call. Despite all medical interventions at the hospital, Baş could not be saved and was martyred.
I pray for God's mercy on our martyr; I extend my condolences to his grieving family, our heroic police force, and our nation. May the rank of our martyr be exalted, he said.
