Fire at Textile Factory in Kahramanmaraş Brought Under Control
A fire that broke out at a textile factory in the organized industrial zone of Karacasu Karaziyaret neighborhood in Kahramanmaraş quickly grew. The flames were brought under control with intensive intervention by fire brigade teams, and the condition of two people affected by smoke was reported to be good.
A fire broke out at a textile factory operating in the Erkenez Organized Industrial Zone in the Karacasu Karaziyaret neighborhood of Onikişubat district in Kahramanmaraş. The flames, which started for an undetermined reason, quickly grew and caused panic around the factory.
Following the alert, teams from the Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department were dispatched to the area. The fire was fought with 17 fire trucks, 15 water tanks, 85 personnel, and various machinery.
Thanks to the intensive efforts of the teams, the fire was brought under control. Cooling operations continued in the area to prevent the flames from spreading further.
During the intervention, a factory worker and a firefighter were affected by smoke. After initial treatment by health teams, it was reported that both individuals are in good health.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched, while work in the industrial zone where the incident occurred continues under control.
