A powerful explosion was reported in Russia's Belgorod region near the Ukrainian border. The incident took place close to an ammunition storage facility in the village of Belovskoye.
Before the explosion, black smoke was seen rising from a nearby forested area, raising the possibility that the facility might have been struck by a combat drone. Based on satellite imagery, it was suggested that military personnel could have been injured or killed during the blast.
However, there has been no confirmed information regarding casualties or injuries among the soldiers. Civilians were also reported to have been affected by the incident.
According to the local emergency response center, five women suffered shock during the explosion. The pressure wave shattered windows of an administrative building, three apartment blocks, and more than 20 detached houses, causing damage to roofs and facades.
Earlier reports indicated a fire at the "Grushovaya" oil depot owned by JSC Chernomortransneft in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, in the same region. Residents there reported a drone attack.
