President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at an event held at the Haliç Congress Center to mark Mawlid al-Nabi Week.
Erdoğan said that although the actors and scenarios change, the world is passing through a historic period in which good and evil are engaged in a struggle. He said that good would ultimately prevail.
Call for unity in the Islamic world
Erdoğan said that Zionism, which he described as a radical, aggressive and genocidal ideology, threatens not only the peace of neighboring peoples but also everyone who defends humanitarian values.
Recalling that civilians paid the price when the world remained silent in the face of Hitler, Pol Pot and other dictators, Erdoğan called on the Islamic world to unite and reach consensus.
Erdoğan said Muslims should jointly defend their rights and interests and collectively strengthen peace and security in the region. He said acting together would bring stability and prosperity.
Criticism of the Israeli government
Erdoğan argued that the Israeli government, which he said had become dependent on war, was trying to foment instability across the region, starting with neighboring countries.
Stating that unity brings good, Erdoğan said they aimed to strengthen alliances and reduce disagreements within Türkiye and across the Islamic world.
