Spanish giants Real Madrid generated €1.221 billion in revenue during the 2025-2026 season, excluding player transfer income, becoming the first sports institution to surpass €1.2 billion in annual revenue. The figures approved at the board's latest meeting highlighted the strength of the club's economic model.
Double-digit growth across revenue streams
The club increased its revenue by 3.1 percent compared with the previous season. The strong performance of its directly managed commercial activities was the main driver of this increase; stadium revenue grew by 11 percent, while marketing revenue rose by 6 percent. The renewal of sponsorship contracts and the introduction of new agreements made a significant contribution to marketing revenue.
The club also reported that its total revenue had increased by 61 percent over the past seven years, while stadium revenue had doubled during the same period. The total cost of the stadium renovation project reached €1.407 billion. Over the same seven-year period, spending on player contracts increased by €166 million, representing a 37 percent rise; the club spent €161 million on new transfers last season alone.

26 consecutive seasons of financial surplus
Real Madrid increased its operating profit before interest, depreciation and tax (EBITDA) by 18 percent compared with the previous year, raising it to €287.4 million. Profit after tax stood at €26.3 million. With these results, the club recorded a financial surplus for the 26th consecutive season.
Strong finances support transfer activity
According to figures released by the club, its net assets stand at €624 million. Of this amount, €83 million is held in cash, while net debt excluding the stadium project is just €9 million. The club also has an unused €475 million credit facility, providing flexibility for investment.
Real Madrid said these figures reflect the success of its economic and sporting strategy. The club announced that it had maintained its competitiveness in the transfer market without compromising financial discipline, reached agreements with four new players during the summer transfer window and was close to completing another transfer.
