The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) is reported to be close to an agreement with Sergen Yalçın for the head coach position of the Türkiye national team. According to NTV Spor, the TFF will sign Yalçın on a contract valid until the federation's election in summer 2027.
It was reported yesterday that the TFF had made an offer to Yalçın. The appointment is expected to be made official after a meeting of the TFF board of directors at 3 p.m. today. No information has yet been shared on the financial terms of the contract.

First test against Belgium and France
Yalçın, who is expected to fill the post left vacant after Vincenzo Montella's departure, would take charge of his first matches in November against Belgium and France in the UEFA Nations League.
Some sports outlets claimed the sides had agreed on a longer deal. The exact length of the contract is expected to be clarified in the TFF's official announcement.
