Türkiye’s Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek said legal proceedings against those involved in market-distorting transactions as part of the fund investigation are continuing.
In a statement on his NSosyal account, Şimşek said no action would be taken against individuals or companies unrelated to the activities covered by the investigation. He said the legitimate rights of fund investors were being safeguarded in coordination with the Ministry of Justice.
Şimşek said protecting the real sector’s capacity for investment, employment, production and exports was among their priorities. He added that the necessary measures, particularly the liquidity required by the market, would continue to be taken to prevent adverse effects on the financial system and the real economy.
Şimşek said it was important for the public to follow announcements about the process from the competent authorities.
