The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday that intelligence officer Amjad Youssef, who served during the former regime, also had a role in the case involving the killing of Dr. Rania Al-Abbasi's six children. The ministry stated in a statement from Damascus that information and evidence obtained from interrogations with detainees indicated that the children were killed by groups affiliated with the former Assad regime. The institution added that the investigation is ongoing and evidence collection continues for the legal process against the remaining suspects.
