With the new regulation by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, significant changes have come into effect in the Farmer Registration System. These innovations, concerning title deed owners across Turkey, aim to record agricultural production and strengthen inspection processes. According to the new rules, the lands registered under the commitment will be recorded with satellite images of the production year or guidance from determination commissions. If heirs or shareholders object to these lands, the records of the areas corresponding to the objected share ratio will be canceled. A similar application will be valid for lands inherited through succession; in case of objection, the records will be considered invalid from the production year until the end of the commitment period. The Ministry has granted a 15-day period for obtaining the requested documents. Objections other than those from heirs and shareholders will not be considered in later stages. Additionally, when the registered owner in the land registry passes away and the inheritance right has not yet been registered, the lands will be considered as not transferred. In this case, if heirs object to commitment applications for lands not yet transferred, an inheritance certificate will be requested. For applications made by persons without shares, a lease agreement or commitment made with the shareholders will be requested. In cases where share ratios are uncertain, a lease agreement or commitment made with all shareholders must be submitted. These regulations aim to ensure that agricultural activities are conducted more transparently and orderly.
